History
Mr. Seidel represents clients in state and federal courts, primarily in the areas of family and criminal law. Family law matters include child custody, property division, and collaborative law. His criminal law practice includes the areas of white collar matters and investigations.
Mr. Seidel is admitted to the State Bar of Texas, the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas, and the Eastern District of Texas. He is also admitted to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, and the United States Supreme Court. He has argued numerous appeals before the Fifth District Court of Appeals in Dallas, and before the nine-member Texas Court of Criminal Appeals in Austin.
He graduated from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law in 1989, and began his career with the law firm of Storey, Armstrong Steger & Martin in Dallas. He later served as an Assistant District Attorney in Dallas, and as the First Assistant District Attorney for the 216th Judicial District Attorney's Office in Kerrville, Texas. He has been an Adjunct Professor of Trial Advocacy at Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law.
He is a member of the Dallas Bar Association, the Fifth Federal Circuit and American Bar Associations; the State Bar of Texas, and the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.
Mr. Seidel has been licensed for twenty years, and has been in private practice since 1997.
